Valerie Rayner

Pastor Valerie Rayner is a worship leader, author, artist, and teacher who has dedicated
her life to one of worship. A wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter too, but her
favorite title is that of servant.
 

Valerie was reared in Wilmington, North Carolina by her parents Ethel and Loretta Bell.
She gave her life to Christ at a very early age, but it wasn’t until many years later that
she would come into the full knowledge of who Christ was to her personally.
Valerie currently serves under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Shirley R. Brown at Destiny
International Ministries who is not only her Pastor, but spiritual mother as well for almost
20 years. Valerie was licensed in 2009 and ordained as a Minister in the gospel in
October 2015. In January 2019, she received a Professional Education Certificate in
Worship Arts from North Central University. Valerie serves on the Pastoral team
alongside her husband, Travel Team, Worship Team, Administration Team, and
wherever else she is needed. In August of 2018, POW, The Power of Worship was
birthed. POW is designed to go into any and every denomination and teach sound,
Kingdom principles that will take your worship to the next level. This is her baby.
 

Valerie holds a bachelor’s degree of science in Communication with a concentration on
leadership and as of March 7, 2026, she has now received her MBA as well. She is a certified
licensed life coach and has earned a board certification in mental health coaching from
Light University. Valerie is the author of POW, The Power of Worship and co-author of
Attributes of a sent one: Activating the Apostolic Dimension with Apostle Axel Sippach,
as well as Triumphant Voices of Victory: The Overcomers Anthology with Waldresha
Davenport. In November 2025, she released her own anthology titled “Worshipping
                    While Wounded”. May 6, 2026, she released her book titled "When The Monitors Went Silent. A mothers battle with depression, loss and the will to keep breathing."
 

If you are ever looking for Pastor Val, more times than not, you will find her using the
gifts that God has placed in her in full capacity. When she isn’t working in ministry, you
can find her wherever her granddaughter Kori is!

She also loves reading, writing, eating,
and traveling. She is the owner of Team Rayner Travel and Valerie Rayner Ministries
as well as the co-owner of Groomers Property Services and Rayner Mansion Wine, the
first black owned nonalcoholic virtual winery.

She is happily married to Pastor Dimitri
Rayner and together they have three wonderful daughters that they love dearly and
their beautiful granddaughter, Kori Aaliyah whom they love to spoil the most.
 

Her favorite scripture can be found in Proverbs 3:5,6. “Trust in the Lord with all your
heart and lean not to your own understanding; In all your ways submit to Him and He
will make your paths straight.”
